Coming back Home

Heading back from Fred's parent's house, with our generator, we see that devastation wasn't limited to Lake Charles. Here are images coming up Highway 14, ending up by the stadium on McNeese Street.

I have to talk about Fred and his family. We were welcomed by his family with open arms. His parents put us up in their guest annex where we had air, beds, and a shower. It was head and shoulders above any hotel I've been to in recent memory if not ever.

I am convinced that there cannot be finer people alive anywhere than Fred's parents. They fed us when we came in late in the evening. When we woke, Mrs. Gossen prepared pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, ham, juice, and more I know I am forgetting. When Mr. Gossen heard we had no generator, he not only loaned us his, but he went into town and stood in line to get us gasoline.

They are the kind of people who do this because its their nature. You can't be around them without being affected. How do you ever repay this?
